Escorting Santa with an International Band in Luton...

Harpenden Pipe Band played a rather unusual event on Saturday 1st December, on a parade in Luton. The band set off on a parade through Luton Town Centre, led by one Santa Claus in the back of a convertible Saab. The event, organised by St Marys RC church in Luton was a new one for the band, put together at short notice. A colourful international feel to the event came with the music also being provided by the Zimbabwean Church Choir.  In addition, we had an honorary member for the day, joining us with a Congo drum, Gabriel Manyanya of the church choir.  back
